I'm still looking for a book with color photos. I visited Union Station last month and was totally awed - especially by the grand hall. Incredibly beautiful. I didn't take pictures because I thought I could surely find a book with color photos. The photos in|About the Author|Author Rachel Cooper writes and edits content on Washington, DC, for About.com. She has also written articles about the capital area for a variety of other local and regional publications.

The history of Union Station is a fascinating story. In 1907, Washington’s train station was built as part of the McMillan Plan to create a monumental gateway to the nation’s capital.
